Illusive by Nina Levine

Nina has done it again!

Illusive was the answer to a lot of questions that she had left brewing in our minds following the last book, Slay.  Following Slay, we were left questioning Griff's loyalty to Storm MC.  Nina proves again that there is a reason for everything and all of the questions will be answered.
She tells why Griff sticks to himself more than the others.  The reason Griff is so.....well, Griff, is so real. It happens to so many people everyday.  He's been burned.  He wont ever love again and he's ok with that because its less painful. That is until he meets Sophia.
She is a sassy, strong willed, independent, woman who has been burned as well.  Only she has rules for herself.  She refuses to break them....until Griff.  But, do the two of them listen to a wise old woman across the road or do they let their fear of being hurt again cost them a chance at a forever love? She wont settle and he wont commit. Can they find a happy medium and have a chance at happiness, or is love just as illusive as they think it is?

Be Taken by STORM

J and Maddison started as friends and became much more.  He was 19 and she was 17.  They were friends for 6 years before they became an item.  But Lord when they did, They Exploded! And it was HOT!!
Madison worked at a bar and so did her Bff's boyfriend Rob. Rob attacked her one night and J caught it.  Needless to say, you don't mess with the daughter of the President in Storm MC, sister to the VP, and girlfriend of a bad ass that is in the club as well.  Rob was taken out by J. He was just protecting Madison.  Things got messy and bad for Madison and J for a while and they split up.  She got with Nix, a real piece of work from a different MC. A little down the road, Madison breaks it off with Nix and her and J started talking again.  The Storm boys know he will hurt Madison if she don't leave town.  J has to protect her so he told her he didn't love her anymore and she had to leave town. It
                  Broke Her Heart
She moved and started her life again.  She fills the void of J with random men. But they never compared. Here is where Madison's Bff comes back into play. Bec had 2 kids and Madison was close with them before the whole Rob incident. But now Bec hated the club because she thought that they killed Rob. (which they did but there was never any proof. Madison never told her about what Rob had done because she didn't want to hurt her. Terrible move Mad, but whatever.) She moved and started her life again.

Bec ended up with Nix and she tried to leave him and he killed her and her son, leaving behind her small daughter.  Storm is afraid that Nix is going to came after Madison and call her to come home. She refuses and they send a guy to watch her till she changes her mind.  Of all the men that Scott, VP, could have sent he chose J.

J tries to reason with her and she is having no part of it.  He finally tells her the whole story and she calms down some.  He tells her " I'd almost gotten to a place where I didn't think about you every fucking day."
That got Madison's attention because he isn't supposed to love her anymore.
"When the fuck did you get so bitchy?"
" The day you ripped my fucking heart out, asshole."
Time rocked on and she decided to go back to Brisbane with J.
They talked and J kept throwing mixed signals to Madison.
"You still want me?" asked Madison.
"Jesus, how many other ways do you need it said? I never stopped wanting you."

Nix ends up kidnapping Madison and her mom. I'll just say that he meets his maker and J saved Madison.  They go on to reveal feelings for each other and Madison says," why did we wait so long?"
"I don't fucking know, but don't think you can stop me now, cause nothing will fucking stop me now. I'm yours and you're mine, always have been."

Then J delivers one of my favorite lines in Storm," Baby, it's always been you. Always. Tell me you believe that."
"Yes, I believe it J. and its always been you. I thought this was done but its not and I don't ever want it to be."
omg
Nina Levine took me by storm with this book.  I am so glad she has the ability to create these characters.  She makes it easy to imagine that (as you are reading) you are actually in the life.  I swear to you, when I'm reading any of the Storm books I feel like a total bad ass. I love this series and can't wait to review the rest of it for you all.

"You think I like that part of me?  That I enjoy doing the dirty work that being in the club requires? I fucking don't.  But I do it for a reason.  And six years ago when I fell in love with you, my reason became you." -J

   Reapers Series

If you like hot bad ass biker men and a good sexy romance, then Reapers Series is going to be a must read.

Book  1: Reapers Property

In this book you will meet Horse.  Horse is determined to get Marie, only Marie don't want Horse.  Thanks to her dumb brother, she is put in a tough spot and has to be around Horse and some of the other members.  Horse decides to use this to his advantage and tells Marie that he will help her, for a price.  Read this book and find out if Marie could resist becoming "property of" Horse and the Reapers MC.  I give this book 4/5 stars.

Book 2:  Reapers Legacy

This is my FAVORITE Reapers book.  You will be introduced to Ruger in this one.  Let me just tell you that he is one fine piece of biker.  He ends up seeing Sophie losing her virginity to his low life brother.  Only Sophie has no clue that Zach is a low life.  Well, shit happens and she ended up pregnant. ( Now she knows what Ruger meant).  Ruger is the only male influence in Noah's life.  Sophie moved away and was trying to be a single mom but was damn near poverty and Ruger was having no part of it.  But she wanted no part of Ruger....or at least she tried to tell herself that.  Ruger is my favorite member of this MC.  He is wild and crazy about his nephew, and Sophie.  This is a wild romance that will leave you wanting more from the Reaper men.  You will also get to see just how far Ruger is willing to go for Noah and Sophie.  I give this book 5/5 stars.

Book 3:  Devils Game

Hunter from Devils Jacks ends up kidnapping Em, Picnic's, the president of the Reapers, daughter.
Em and Hunter end up falling for each other and Picnic is not having any part of it.  But he will have to learn to deal or lose his daughter.  Just hope that Hunter dont have to kill her and that Picnic listens to what the Jacks have to say.  I give this book  4/5 stars.

Book 4: Reapers Stand

This is Picnic's book.  He has a face and body to die for and he has lots of power.  Pic always gets his way and he wants London.  London dont want him though.  She is happy with her good cop boyfriend.  "Deputy Dick" dont like Picnic or his crew and dont like the fact that London has cleaning contracts with the Reapers.  Picnic is Londons only way to save Jessica, her cousins child that she is raising.  Jess gets herself into more trouble than a young girl should.  Picnic agrees to help her, but she has to do something for him.  I am not going to say any more about that because you need to read it to see where it goes.  I will tell you that Picnic and the rest of the Reaper boys get a total surprise from London and she ends up saving her ass and a person dear to the club.

This is a must read.  I would rank this story a really close second to Ruger's story.  That is saying something!

Joanna Wylde has made me a huge Reaper fan for life. I cant wait to get Painter and Puck's story.  Or Mel's!  I give this book a 5/5 as well.

Raced by K. Bromberg

I don't even have words for this book.  You have to have read the Driven trilogy (which I HIGHLY.   recommend) as this is just a reading companion to it. I would even read Raced along with Driven, Fueled, and Crashed. You can see what chapters in Raced go along with chapters in other books. You would be able to get Colton's POV right then and not have to wait to finish the trilogy. This gives the reader a inside look at why Colton does things and acts the way he does.  This goes so in depth and is so good at explaining key scenes in all three books.  Everything that happens in Raced is in Coltons point of view.  I fell even more head over heels in love with my broken bad boy!  Sometimes you just never know what's waiting for you at the checkered flag!  I can not wait for more of Rylee and Coltons  story!!

Welcome to Aunt B's Dirty Little Secret

I'm so excited to create a place for readers of all genres to discuss their latest book!

I hope to pimp authors (legally of course) and their books. I also hope to be able to promote new authors. I want to help indie authors get out there and get recognized. And also, I WANT TO READ!

Here's a little about me..

I am a mother of 2, a wife, a hairdresser and a nurse (yes I do in fact have licenses in both fields). I am currently going back to school to get my Bachelor's in Nursing. Eventually, I want to work in oncology. I love to read, however, I haven't always. Not long ago, I would have rather poked my eyes with a hot fork as to pick up a book. That all changed when Charlie Hunnam got the role of Christian Grey. I HAD to read the Fifty Shades of Grey books. The rest is history.

I loved them so much that I love reading now. It is kinda taking over my spare time... time between innings at my kids games, time in between clients, time sleeping, you get the picture. Once I get into a good story, it consumes me until I am done.

I love to get recommendations of new books to read from other readers. The search for my next book boyfriend is always on. The more alpha the guy, the better I like it. MC series are about my favorite genre. Lady loves an outlaw, right?!

I wish there was more to tell you about me. Truth is, I am a normal mom with a normal life, nothing special. I hope this can be a place for my fellow book lovers to interact and communicate!

Much love,

Aunt B
